After dozens of orders (yes, dozenS), here are the questions I get asked the most — plus my real answers based on actual experience.

❓ “Is LightInTheBox legit?”
Yes. Been around forever (founded 2007), publicly traded company. Not a scam site. Real products, real shipping, real customer service. I can confirm firsthand.
❓ “How’s the quality?”
It’s not Nordstrom, but it’s not garbage either. Think “solid mid-tier.” For the price? You’ll be happy. My oldest LITB purchase (from 2019) still looks fine.
❓ “How long does shipping take?”
Usually 7-14 days for standard shipping. express options available if you’re impatient (like me). Have had orders arrive in 5 days, others took 3 weeks. Depends on where you’re shipping from.
❓ “What about customs/duties?”
If you’re outside the US/Europe, you might get hit with customs. LITB generally marks packages accurately, but that’s on you if your country charges. Factor it in.
❓ “Can I return things?”
Yes, within 30 days (usually). But YOU pay return shipping. For small orders? Might not be worth it. Check if there’s a local return hub!
❓ “Is there a minimum order?”
Nope! Free shipping threshold exists ($49 in many areas), but you can order single items. Sometimes shipping costs more than the item though.
❓ “Currency/duties nightmare?”
Site shows in your local currency (USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, etc.). Easy. What your bank charges for conversion is separate.
